Yorkshire Wedding Photography Leeds
There’s a lot of things we love about the wedding industry and we couldn’t possibly ask for a better job than capturing weddings for a living, but the industry does have a nasty habit of encouraging the kind of one-upmanship that leaves plenty of brides and grooms feeling like their day isn’t the kind of day that will get suppliers excited. In fact, a couple of years ago we received an email from such a bride, she said that a few suppliers had been less than positive about the wedding that was being done on a budget. They had prioritised what was important to them, photography being one of those, and weren’t ashamed to admit it. Their wedding is still one of our favourites.
We’re a bit behind with blogging at the moment so Lauren and Jon actually received their images last week. When Lauren dropped us an email it was a perfect reminder of just how important our job is, the first paragraph read
“Thanks so much for the stunning shots guys! We’re looking through them all and were amazed at how you’ve turned our ‘ordinary’ wedding with very un-photogenic bride and groom in to some great photos”
We knew that photography was important to Lauren and Jon, but what we didn’t realise is that they felt that theirs was an ‘ordinary’ wedding. By the time we arrived on the morning of Lauren and Jon’s wedding we had got to know them pretty well during past meetings and the engagement shoot. We couldn’t wait to get started and theirs was a day that we had been really looking forward to. You see, when we think about weddings we have coming up, we think about the couples, not the venues, or the details or the extra’s. It’s about capturing their day, their family and friends and the moments that are going to mean the world to them. Because that really is all that matters when it comes down to it. Lauren and Jon are incredible people, and make an even more incredible couple, how could their day ever be anything other than extraordinary?
Oh, and I was going to point out just how photogenic they are, but I’ll let the photos do that!
