Yorkshire Dales Wedding Photography Leeds
This year, perhaps more than ever before, we’ve found ourselves travelling away from Yorkshire for work. With trips to Cheshire and London becoming increasingly common it has made us appreciate Yorkshire weddings all the more. After all Yorkshire is where we met, it’s where we got married ourselves and it’s where we call home. Jess and Mark’s wedding earlier this year had two of the things we love most about Yorkshire in abundance, amazing scenery and fantastic people.
It’s always difficult to know what to include when writing up these posts, especially in a culture where everyone seems to want to draw of a story that pulls on the heartstrings. Perhaps it’s the accumulative effect of years of exploitative reality TV wherein applicants personal lives are shared with the nation for the sake of ratings, but I always feel that some stories aren’t ours to tell.
We, as wedding photographers, are in the unique position of being invited into one of the most emotionally charged days of two people’s lives. Along the way we learn more about the people we’re photographing than most people do about anyone except their closest friends. I don’t think there’s ever been a wedding that we haven’t laughed with the couple and, at more weddings than I’d like to admit, cried. Through all of that our job is to capture the day for the couples, and we try to remember that when we’re doing these posts.
Jess and Mark are a couple that have gone through more in their lives than many of us ever will, and they have come through it all as two of the strongest most incredible people you could ask to meet. Their day wasn’t defined by what they have been through in the past, but by the love they share for each other and the people they chose to share it with. Through all of the adversity they have one of the most loving and caring groups of family and friends that we’ve ever seen and we feel so proud to have been there to capture it all for them.
