Destination Engagement Photography Marbella| Destination Wedding Photographers Yorkshire
We’ve always loved the idea of travelling abroad for destination weddings and engagement shoots. And it seems like international trips are like busses for us, with a visit to Slovenia next month followed by Seattle, Portland and Vancouver in January, Las Vegas at the end of February and Ireland in March. And if our recent trip to Marbella for Louise and Ant’s destination engagement shoot was anything to go by, we’ve got a lot to look forward to.
When Louise suggested the idea of popping over to Marbella for the shoot we started to imagine the possibilities and locations we might have. In our short time there our expectations were blown out of the water and we were left with an incredible set of images that is unlike any engagement shoot we’ve done before.
In many ways calling this a Marbella engagement shoot isn’t entirely accurate, on the advice of one of Louise and Ant’s friends we headed out to Ronda during the day. As we drove over the mountains away from the more touristy areas we were amazed by the incredible scenery all around us. Ronda its-self is an idyllic city that is home to some of the most amazing places we’ve ever seen, with views over the 300-foot gorge that divides the city through which the Guadalevin river runs (More of a trickle in the 37 Degree summer heat!).
I think all of us could have spent days wandering around the city finding locations for shots and although we try to cut down the number of shots we put on the blog we’ve ended up with a few more than normal. There’s so many more we would have loved to have put on here but we’ll do our best to put a few of our favourites on our Facebook page.
In the evening after we had returned from the shoot Louise and Ant invited us out for dinner with some of their bridesmaids and groomsmen. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer end to our visit to Marbella and by the end of the evening we felt like we were out to dinner with a group of our friends (Actually it probably happened on the way to the restaurant when there was a game of ‘never have I ever’ on the minibus!).
It doesn’t take a day walking around Spain to see why Louise and Ant mean so much to their friends, they are probably two of the most magnetic people we’ve ever met. What’s more their connection and the love they share is one of the most striking things about them and made the whole shoot an absolute pleasure. We cannot wait to see everyone again at what is going to be an incredible New Year’s Eve wedding.
