My photography career began with live-music work in Leeds, Yorkshire and many other venues around the UK. During that time I learned to work fast and capture events as they happened: reportage-style photography means being prepared and choosing your moments precisely, because most opportunities last for just a few seconds.
With a background in Film and Moving Image Production, I have a unique and creative way of telling the story of a wedding through my photography. I like to capture those elusive, fleeting expressions, and the smiles that are from the heart.
I prefer to use a long lens, which allows me to tightly frame the subject whilst retaining a distance for them to feel more comfortable. I love detail shots - storytelling within my work is crucial, and we both pride ourselves on capturing the nuances that others often miss.
I use the same reportage style in my UK, Yorkshire and Leeds Wedding Photography .
In years to come, we want you to be able to look back at your wedding photographs as a true representation of the day, rather than poses suggested by the photographer that have no real atmosphere or relevance. We will tell the unique story of your wedding, so it will never look like someone else's album with your heads superimposed on the images!
We will always strive towards being the best, and we’re looking forward to finding out where Sansom Photography can go.
