Worlds Best Wedding Ceremony 2014 | Destination Wedding Photographers

We are SO EXCITED to finally reveal that we have WON Best Ceremony of the Year (2014) in JuneBugWeddings.com Choice Awards!!!

Out of all the amazing ceremonies from around the WHOLE WORLD we are so thrilled we have won – and especially excited that it was Gaël & Pete’s awesome Yorkshire wedding!

On the morning of Pete and Gaël’s wedding it was touch and go as to whether the ceremony would be held outside at all, the heaven’s had opened and the good old Yorkshire weather had set in. As Pete and all the guests waited for Gaël to arrive he asked them to vote on whether to stay outside or head into the barn! Without any hesitation they all shouted “STAY!”. It was a great moment and as soon Gaël got into the car and drove up to the forest the rain stopped, leaving the most dramatic and atmospheric clouds. It was perfect. It’s great to know so many people can see the love and joy that made this wedding so amazing! If you would like to see their full wedding head over to the post here.

Thank you to all the judges and to JunebugWeddings. What a great way to start off our new year, it’s incredible to be able to say that we had the World’s Best Ceremony in 2014!

Alnwick Treehouse Wedding Photographer York

We are coming close to the end of another amazing wedding season – which is great timing as Chris has now decided to get a cold! – and cannot believe how quickly it has gone by. We have so many weddings to share that it might take us all the way up till Christmas to show you them all!

Today we are so excited to share Dani and Ed’s awesome Treehouse wedding, we love unqiue and different venue’s but it’s safe to say that on the journey up to Alnwick we both couldn’t wait to be shooting a wedding in a Treehouse! Their ceremony was held late afternoon and it was great to see how cosy and inviting the Treehouse looked inside. Dani and Ed had decorated it perfectly, you could tell all their family and guests were loving every minute of being high up in the trees! The day was even more special to Dani as she had asked her Grandfather, who unfortunately is not too well, to walk her down the aisle, it was a touching moment for them all, and a pleasure to capture it for them. After the intimate ceremony we managed to persuade Dani to confront her fears and walk onto rope bridge to get some great shots, and even I have to say it left me a bit unsteady, especially looking down!

We love evening light so after the speeches we couldn’t resist taking the happy couple off for a few photographs, with pink clouds and heron’s flying by it was the perfect setting. We capture so many weddings and remember pretty much every single one, each one if different and each unique but all have the same importance, LOVE, and after spending just a few hours with Dani and Ed you can tell that they were just meant to be together.
