Ok, so this year has been our busiest yet and I’ve got to admit it’s been hard to keep up with the blog. Suffice to say we have a fair few entries waiting to be uploaded! We’ve been editing away and working some silly hours, any spare time we’ve given ourselves has been spent walking the dog and racking up the hours on the bike (My new found obsession). In many ways this weekend’s wet weather has been just what we’ve needed, a Sunday with no excuses not to sit inside, upload a lovely collection of images and write up some text. Michelle and Terry’s wedding was back in June on an incredible summers day in the Yorkshire Dales. We always love shooting new venues and the stunning Taitlands instantly became one of our favourites. The intimate building set in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside opened its doors last year and is fast being recognised as one of the area’s finest wedding venues. It’s not hard to see why, with a multitude of photo opportunities around every corner I struggle to find enough superlatives to describe the place! We visited Michelle and Terry for their engagement shoot earlier this year and we’ve both been eagerly awaiting the wedding ever since. They opted for a ceremony at the nearby St Alkelda Church in Settle having both got ready at Taitlands in the morning. Wedding day gifts between a bride and groom are always a special part of the morning and I love Michelle’s reaction to her card, the polar opposite of Terry’s perhaps yet both filled with the kind of emotion we love to see on a wedding day. A great venue always helps things along, but the most important thing for us will always be capturing the emotions and atmosphere of the day. Great venue, great couple and great weather, what a combination!
