We first met Neil and Lisa at Fountains Abbey for their engagement shoot earlier this year, one of the things that struck us was how comfortable they are together. Like so many of our couples, it is hard to imagine Neil and Lisa without the connection they have now. Yet when they first met at work it’s safe to say Lisa wasn’t too impressed with a ‘cocksure’ Neil (I won’t use Neil’s own phrasing for that part!) but, fortunately, it didn’t take her long to change her mind!
Over the last 4 and a half years we’ve heard all kinds of stories about how couples met and fell in love and it’s one of the things we love about our job. I don’t really believe in fate as such, but having seen so many ‘I Do’s’ I certainly believe that everyone has a perfect match out there somewhere. When we were narrowing down this selection of images for the blog and choosing between so many beautiful moments between Neil and Lisa I think we both felt that this was another couple that had definitely found their perfect match.
It’s been a while since we’ve shot at Harewood House and it was fantastic to get the chance to shoot their again before they close their doors for weddings next year. Holding some of the largest events in Yorkshire (and the World for last year’s Grand Depart!) Harewood is one of the venues that first springs to mind when thinking of Leeds. It was the same for Lisa, who had grown up with family days out there and always pictured it as the perfect place to get married and with a day like theirs I’d say she was right!
