We’ve always loved engagement shoots, there’s just something really special about getting to know couples before their big day. Creatively they always give us a chance to try out some new ideas and find locations that we couldn’t necessarily utilise on a wedding day. After all, one of the reasons we love what we do is the ability to push ourselves to find new ideas for shots! This year we’ve made a decision to change the way we approach engagement shoots and we now offer two types of shoots. Our usual engagement shoots, and our signature Adventure Shoots. These Adventure Shoots give us the chance to spend more time with the couple and explore area’s we wouldn’t be able to on a normal engagement shoot. A couple of months back we had Ant and Louise’s epic Marbella Adventure Shoot and we’ve got another international shoot coming to the blog very soon.
But you don’t have to hop on a plane to have an adventure, and Jadlyn and Moses – inspired by one of our favourite engagement shoots ever – chose the Lake District for their incredible Adventure Shoot. Although we didn’t have to fly anywhere Jadlyn actually made the trip over from Singapore specifically for the shoot. Moses is currently studying over here in the UK but in a few months he will be moving home and Jadlyn thought it was only right that they get some beautiful photos to remind them of his time living in the UK. One of the best things about the Adventure Shoots is the amount of time we get to make the most of the scenery and the light so in the evening we took Jadlyn and Moses down to one of our favourite walks to watch the sun setting over Lake Windermere. The perfect end to our Cumbrian adventure.
