You might remember earlier in the year we posted Gemma and Paul’s snowy family shoot. Seeing them having fun in the snow we got a real sense that their cheeky and cheerful daughter Honey Lily is the most important thing in the world to both of them. We quite often end up taking a bit longer than we plan for on engagement shoots because when we get talking we can go on for days! With a couple like Gemma and Paul it’s difficult not to end up chatting away and since then we’ve both been really looking forward to their wedding.
Being a city centre wedding at The Met hotel we already knew a few locations we felt would work perfectly for a couple shoot and we love how they turned out. It’s not often we’re disappointed when it DOESN’T rain but this was one of those rare days. Gemma had an amazing umbrella ready to get a shot in the pouring rain and we were both imagining how good a couple shoot would look in a downpour. Maybe we jinxed it because it seemed to rain whenever we couldn’t go outside, then as soon as we could the summer weather rolled right back in.
Looking through the photos at the tears, the laughter, the dancing and the excitement of the day I think that if our only disappointment was a lack of rain we can’t really complain! We love how this collection has turned out and couldn’t wait to share it. I hope you like them as much as we both do!
