It’s so hard to believe we are only a few weeks away until Christmas! 2013 for us had been unforgettable, in January we were invited into the Best of Wedding Photography, an organisation that we looked up to from the very beginning, we won three awards between us with the WPJA and the AG/WPJA, we covered another 40 amazing couples getting married (still a few more to go!), we celebrated our 1st year anniversary of our own wedding, and are now recognised internationally. It has been our most exciting and busy year yet. In March we made our way through knee-deep snow to cover Chris and Rachel’s festival themed wedding, we got through horrible sickness at another and rescued Joe and Caroline when their wedding car broke down. We can’t thank all our amazing couples enough, we have enjoyed every single one, we put all of ourselves into each wedding going above and beyond to do the best we can. Its hard not to get emotionally evolved in a couples day, we are there bright and early in the morning and see their nerves develop as the morning goes on, having got married ourselves it always brings back that feeling you get when your about to marry the love of your life – its indescribable. So its not such a surprise that I have secretly shed one or two tears watching couples share their first dance! It all comes down to how much we love and appreciate our job, to us it isn’t our job its our life. We never set out thinking that we would get this far but everyday we look to where we can go next. We have so many incredible weddings booked in for the next 3 years that we just are eager to see what 2014 brings!
We have tried to put together a selection of our favourite photographs over the last year. From tears of joy to breathtaking couple shots there are just too many to share in one post, but you know us – we will try our best!
We hope you all have an amazing holiday season with family and friends and we hopefully will be able to share some beautiful weddings before the end of the year. I am now going to try to stop our cute little cat from destroying our Christmas tree!
